# Replace or Remove Your CV in arco Settings

> Learn how to replace your master CV, remove it entirely, or download an AI Coach document from arco.

You can replace your current CV with a new one, remove it entirely, or download a CV that the AI Coach has produced for you. This page covers each action and what it means for your match scores.

## Replacing your CV

Go to **Settings → Profile** and upload a new file. The new CV becomes your master CV and replaces the previous one.

Use this when your CV has genuinely changed: a new role, a significant rewrite, or a shift in how you are positioning yourself. You do not need to replace your master CV just to tailor for one job. For that, see [Using a different CV for one job](/ai-coach/per-job-cv-variants).

### What happens to your scores

Replacing your CV changes the basis for scoring. Existing matches keep their current scores. New scores apply from your next search onward.

## Removing your CV

Go to **Settings → Profile** to remove your CV. The **Resume active** indicator in the navigation bar switches back to **Upload resume**.

With no CV attached, scoring falls back to your profile answers alone, which is less precise. Most people are better off replacing rather than removing.

## Downloading a CV

Where the AI Coach has produced a document for you, you can download it as a PDF from the review screen.
