# Upgrade to arco Pro: Steps, Checkout, and What Changes Instantly

> Learn how to upgrade to arco Pro, what happens to your matches and limits immediately after checkout, and how billing works.

You can upgrade to arco Pro from several places in the app. Once you complete checkout, your new limits take effect immediately: no waiting, no need to run a new search.

## How to upgrade

Start from any of these locations:

* The **Pro badge** in the top navigation
* **Settings → Plan & Billing**
* The **Compare plans** page
* Any **upgrade prompt** on your Board

Choose your billing cycle and complete checkout. Payment is handled by our payment provider. arco doesn't store your card details.

## Billing options

| Billing | Price      | Notes                                           |
| ------- | ---------- | ----------------------------------------------- |
| Monthly | \$12/month | Billed each month, cancel anytime               |
| Yearly  | \$99/year  | Works out to \$8.25/month — save 30% vs monthly |

Both options are available at checkout. You can switch between billing cycles from **Settings → Plan & Billing**.

## What happens immediately

Upgrading takes effect straight away:

* Your match limit lifts from 5 to up to 50, including previously locked matches
* Daily automatic searches begin
* **Find Jobs** becomes available on demand
* The manual job save limit is removed and alerts are enabled
* AI Coach becomes unlimited
* Tailored applications become unlimited

You don't need to run a new search to see previously locked matches. They unlock immediately.

## Billing and receipts

You'll receive a receipt by email for each payment.

## Changing your mind

You can cancel at any time and keep Pro access through the end of the period you've paid for.
