# Track Contacts and Follow-Ups in Your Pipeline

> Use arco's Pipeline List view to log contacts, set next actions, and manage the human side of your job search with warm introductions and outreach.

Warm introductions convert better than cold applications. Your Pipeline List view is built to track the human side of a job search, with fields for every application that help you stay organized and follow up at the right time.

## Fields available in List view

| Field | What to enter |
| -------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Method** | How you are approaching it: Portal, Warm contact, Referral, or Direct outreach |
| **Applied?** | Yes, No, or Planned. Planned means you intend to apply but have not yet. |
| **Status** | Detailed progress. See [Pipeline stages explained](/pipeline/pipeline-stages). |
| **Contact Name** | Your person at the company |
| **Contact Role** | Their title |
| **Contact LinkedIn** | A link to their profile |
| **Next Action** | What you need to do next |
| **Notes** | Anything else worth remembering |
| **Date Applied** | When your application went in |

## Tips for using it well

* **Fill in Next Action for anything live.** "Follow up Thursday" or "Waiting to hear back" turns your pipeline from a record into a to-do list.
* **Log the contact as soon as you have one.** Names get forgotten fast when you are running several processes at once.
* **Use Applied? = Planned deliberately.** It separates "I intend to apply here" from "I have applied."
* **Hide the columns you do not use.** If you are not tracking contacts, hide those fields via the Columns control and keep the table readable.

<Note>
Anything you have not filled in shows as a dash. That is just an empty field, not an error.
