# How Often arco Refreshes Your Job Matches

> Learn how often arco searches for new jobs on Free and Pro plans, how many matches you see, and why a search can take a few minutes to complete.

How often arco searches for new roles depends on your plan. Free users get weekly refreshes they trigger manually, while Pro users get automatic daily searches plus unlimited on-demand lookups.

    * Your first search runs automatically as soon as you finish profile setup.
    * A bonus second search becomes available a few days into your first week.
    * After that, one search per week, which you trigger yourself using the **Find Jobs** button.
    * Your weekly cycle is anchored to the date you signed up, not a fixed weekday.
    * When a refresh isn't available yet, the **Find Jobs** button is replaced by a pill showing when your next refresh unlocks, with an option to upgrade for daily refreshes.

## How many matches you see

* **Free:** your 5 best matches by score. As new searches run, the strongest roles rise into that top 5 and weaker ones drop out.
* **Pro:** up to 50 matches, refreshed daily.

## Why searches take a few minutes

Every search queries multiple sources, retrieves postings, and scores each one individually. Expect 5 to 10 minutes, occasionally longer. You can leave the page; it continues in the background.
